This large house with character has 5 charming bedrooms available with beautiful views looking
out onto the mills of Noblat,
the Vienne river, the viaduct and the collagiate of the higher town.
Built on a rock of granite , the ground floor is a communal part of the house with dining room, rustic living room with a stone floor and the TV as well as the office where you can check your emails, receive a fax, scan or print (WiFi available in all rooms).
Like most of the houses in Saint Léonard de Noblat, the upper floors are half-timbered and moulded :
_on the first floor with a double bed « L’ Avoine » , « le Blé » and « le Froment”
_“le Maïs” and “le Seigle” on the 2nd attic floor have an extra single bed and a living area
_all bedrooms have their own bathroom with shower and WC
_an individual access to the rooms is by a stone and oak staircase so everyone can come and go as they wish
There is a carpark 50 metres away so cars can be parked away from the road and a garage is available to park motorbikes or bicycles during your stay
The morning smell of coffee and toasted bread drifts up the staircase to tempt you awake…..breakfast is served from 7H30 am until 10 o’clock. Homemade jams tickle the tastebuds and it is the best time to get information about the daily activities, walks, exhibitions, and regional events.
From each of the bedrooms, you can go to the terraced garden to look at the overflow of the river Vienne, or climb up through the woods to the oak tree of Clovis, with a panoramic view over Saint Léonard, the Vienne and its bridges, the quarter of the Ponticauds around the Saint Martial Church
You just have to cross the river over the little mill bridge with its wheel to have a quiet walk on the island between the reach and the river, with its vegetable gardens, its wild flowers and its magnificent trees. Riverside ambiance guaranteed!
